King Art Games has followed up its last screenshots from last November, with a new Gamescom 2017 trailer showing in-engine pre-alpha footage from its upcoming game Iron Harvest. The RTS game is set to hit PC, PS4 and Xbox One and is scheduled for an early 2019 release.
After the first world war, pedestrians found a plethora of armament, weaponry, and other resources sprawled across fields that would soon be named the “Iron Harvest”. The game itself by King Art Games, Iron Harvest, is set sometime during the 1920’s and will plunge any player who is curious into a real-time strategy world riddled with mechanized and post WW1 Victorian equipment.
As noted above, the latest video that stands to be Iron Harvest’s Gamescom 2017 trailer reveals in-engine pre-alpha footage and does not reflect how the actual game will perform and behave when late 2018 or early 2019 rolls around.
The video footage posted by KINGArtGames, can be seen below.
Throughout Iron Harvest’s open sandbox levels that can be heavily destroyed, players will have to find their own way to reach a designated goal set by the main story. The following factions set to be included in the game consists of:
- The Saxony Empire is one of the most powerful and influential countries in Europe. The group flaunts a well organized industry, developed cities, modern factories and a strong military tradition. However, after the surrender in the Great War, the current state of the Empire is bad, and proud elites and humiliated aristocrats secretly oppose the Emperor’s policies.
- The Polania Republic is known for its agriculture. The country is trying to maintain its status and territory, whilst struggling with its aggressive neighbors — the Saxony Empire in the west and Rusviet in the east. Polania initiated a program to modernize its army while a large part of the country is still occupied by Rusviet forces.
- Rusviet is big, powerful, and has unmatched industrial and population potential. However, the country is tired and worn out by the long war. Many people are frustrated, and the power of Tsar Nikolaj weakens. Mysterious Grigori Rasputin has become an extraordinarily powerful man and revolution is in the air.
