Super Mario Odyssey is shaping up to be the next installment in the ongoing platform-adventure Mario series. While the game is set to debut for the Nintendo Switch on October 27th, 2017, a Gamescom 2017 gameplay video of Super Mario Odyssey arrived to unveil the Luncheon Kingdom.
Whether you love or hate the new upcoming Super Mario game, there is a video for fans and gamers to look over that unveils yet a new place in Super Mario Odyssey’s world.
The video uncovers new enemies that, of course, will try their hardest to stop you from progressing forward, new obstacle pieces that call for special weapons like a pan to break, and the ability to turn into a lava drop by using Cappy to resist lava itself.
All of the above was made possible through an interview that features Super Mario Odyssey producer Mr. Koizumi. The interview was held at Nintendo’s Gamescom 2017 live stream event and can be seen below, in case you missed it.

If you don’t know, and as explained in the video, the Power Moons are able to power your ship (the Odyssey) so that you can travel around the world map to new places. Each Power Moon is well hidden and will take a keen-eye and a lot of exploration to find.
Seeing how we are just two away months from the game’s official release, more information and videos will likely drop leading up to its ever approaching launch. Until then, Super Mario Odyssey is currently set to launch for Nintendo Switch on October 27th.
