Check Out 17 Minutes Of New Code Vein Gameplay

Code Vein is an upcoming “Souls-like” game by Bandai Namco that puts you in the shoes of a character in a modern yet post-apocalyptic world. The game is still in development and will debut for PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2018.

Code Vein is shaping up to be a game to look out for when 2018 rolls around, although holding rough spots at the moment, which should be expected, fans wanting to see more of the Souls-like game will be able to via video footage that IGN has posted.

The video is not like the one published by Bandai Namco three months ago. The new September footage reveals a new scenario that was crafted specifically for IGN to playthrough. Battle scenes that depict how Code Vein’s early gameplay and fights play out are more than present in the new 17 minute long video.

If you want to watch the new video it lies below.

Back in a content highlight that Bandai Namco published, the game will feature a story driven “connected dungeon” experience that will attempt to immerse you in to the world of Code Vein. To stir up excitement, the game will let you create your very own character(s) and pick a partner as you venture out into a world of destruction, overrun by the Lost.

Given the overall scope of the game, it seems like something that has a lot of potential, but if not done correctly it could falter due to the fact of being so close to the Souls series of games. Seeing that Code Vein is a year out from hitting the digital scene and store-shelves, a lot could change from now up until its launch, so any problems showcased in the new video could be changed later down the line.

Code Vein is slated to hit PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018.
