Deep Sky Derelict Explores RPG Action With Comic Book Aesthetics

Mixing features of a strategy game, RPG and comic book all into one comes publisher 1C Company and developer Snowhound Games upcoming game, Deep Sky Derelict. Set to release Q1 of 2018, Deep Sky Derelict is currently in development for PC.

If comic books, Sci-Fi tales and RPGs are your thing, Snowhound Games will drop Deep Sky Derelict sometime early in 2018 for PC gamers to buy. However, an early version will release come this year’s October that will let folks play the game during its Early Access phase.

For those out there wondering what Deep Sky Derelict has to offer gameplay wise, the title is an original indie game about exploration of ancient spaceships full of strange encounters. Loot and danger awaits behind every corner and is amplified through comic book visuals to make item pickups and battles more memorable.

In an attempt to immerse you in a grim world of a dystopian future where all humans have been split into two distinct classes: Rich citizens who live on  planets, and poor people who are forced to live off scraps on derelict stations/ships, the game presents all of this in bordered comic book-style pictures.

The official description explaining Deep Sky Derelict sits below:

“Deep Sky Derelicts is an original combination of turn-based strategy and RPG, enriched with tactical card combat and popular roguelike elements. Explore derelict alien ships, fight, loot and upgrade your gear, all in distinctive retro-futuristic comic book aesthetic style.”

If all of that seems like something that you can get behind, you can watch the teaser trailer for Deep Sky Derelict that is featured on its newly posted Steam Early Access page.

As seen in the trailer above, various characters can be recruited as well as questioned to further increase re-playability. In other words, choices and decisions will be something common.
