Dragon Ball FighterZ Reveals Tien, Yamcha And Android 21 As Playable Fighters

In the recent issue of V-Jump it shines light on three playable characters that will be in the full version of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The three happen to be Tien, Yamcha and a brand new character named Android 21.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in February 2018. While we have to wait a ways before playing the actual game, V-Jump published a new issue that ShonenGameZ shared revealing Tien (Tenshinhan), Yamcha (Yamucha) and a brand new character that series creator Akira Toriyama has brought forth named Android 21.

Speaking of new characters, Chiaotzu will make an appearance in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but only as a support character.

The above screenshots contain new characters and that of their stats. We also learn from the screenshots that Android 21 will play a key role in the game’s story, and will be like a scientist who is on par with Dr. Gero.

Much like the manga and original series, Yamcha is a ground and close-range fighter. If used correctly, he can double over as a bully type and brings the “Wolf Fang Fist” as his signature move to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Additionally, he can also use “Neo Wolf Fang Fist” as his Meteor special attack. Yamcha stats sit below:

  • Power: 2
  • Speed: 4
  • Reach: 2
  • Technique: 3
  • Energy: 2

The last character detailed in the two screens comes Tien. His fighting style is meant to overwhelm opponents with various techniques, whilst acting a bit like a zoner. Tien can shoot Tri-Beams and Dodon Rays, however the former will drain life if you continue to shoot them in rapid-succession. Chiaotzu can be called in to stun opponents with his telekinesis, though Tien can use “Neo Tri-Beam” as his Meteor special attack when the going gets tough. His stats sit below:

  • Power: 3
  • Speed: 3
  • Reach: 3
  • Technique: 3
  • Energy: 2

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to drop for PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in February 2018.
