Shenmue 3 is gearing up to release for PC and PS4 during the second half of 2018, which is quite far from now. To ease the wait time the developers working on the game have sent out a new progress report video that covers facial animations.
Published by Deep Silver and in development by Ys Net comes the upcoming sequel to the last Shenmue outing from back in the early 2000s. The game is in early development as we speak and could change drastically as time passes, which hopefully the animations and graphics see a change too.
The last video showing Shenmue 3 was quite stiff when it came to character faces and animations, and seeing that the devs have a new video out over on shenmue.link dealing with faces and lip movement proves that they know faces and animations are a current problem being discussed among fans and gamers alike.
You can check out the new video that Ys Net has released, which is the fourth volume to its Shenmue III “Dev Room Report” video series.
The video holds a lot of dislikes as of this moment. I should note that the game is still in an early state, so it isn’t really fair to say that the game will be trash or have jacked-up animations when the final product arrives based on a very, very early development dairy. Remember, we have until the second half of 2018 to go until its official launch.
If you want to see more of Shenmue 3 and its development process, the devs every month release a new progress report showing what has been accomplished and what fans can expect in the near future regarding Shenmue 3.
Shenmue 3 is currently set to release for PC and PS4 sometime in the second half of 2018. The forthcoming game will debut both with a digital and physical copy published by Deep Silver.
