Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive released a new trailer for the upcoming Spintires: Mudrunner, focusing on the game’s hardships and challenges that will be presented to players in the upcoming release of the driving simulator.
Unlike the previous trailers that feature little more than just straight gameplay segments designed to look cinematic, this latest trailer focuses on an almost story-oriented aspect of it; setting up the outdoor activity as a hardship that must be overcome between man, machine and nature.
The voice-over talks about the difficult of maneuvering through the terrain, along with dangers of attempting to navigate through some of the harshest environments imaginable. You can snag a look at the upcoming Spintires: Mudrunner with the trailer below.
The trailer highlights the game’s amazing physics, the troubles of scaling through the mud, riding through the water, and attempting to scale seemingly impossible hills.
Spintires was always physics-based marvel even back when it first came onto the scene. It’s one of the few games actually pushing gaming and software technology forward. I’m glad there are mid-budget publishing studios like Focus Home Interactive who are intent on taking these little-discovered gems and bringing them up to the forefront in order to raise the discoverability among PS4 and Xbox One owners.
Spintires: Mudrunners will feature upgraded graphics and physics over the original release, along with additional soft-body tire simulation and an improved differential lock system to capture the realism of big trucks trekking through crazy off-road situations.
The game will feature six different maps to play across and a cooperative mode for up to four players. There are 19 different all-terrain vehicles to operate, along with dynamic weather, real-time day and night cycles, and a variety of different road and ground conditions to test your driving mettle.
Spintires: Mudrunners will also feature mod support on PC, so that’s definitely a version worth checking out if you have the hardware to run it.
You can look for the game to launch starting October 21st on PS4, Xbox One and PC. For more info don’t hesitate to visit the official Spintires website.
