Mercury Fallen Set To Hit PC Via Steam On October 16th

Mercury Fallen is an upcoming indie strategy sim that sees you colonizing the planet Mercury, using automated machines, vegetation and managing colonies to understand the living conditions of Mercury. The PC game is set to launch on Steam Early Access come October 16th, 2017.

I should clarify something and that happens to be what I assume is a mishap of a release date of April 7th, 2017, on the game’s steam Early Access page. I think the devs meant to put October 16th, 2017, like on their official website. Anyway, the game known as Mercury Fallen takes players on a simulation ride on Mercury and what it would be like to colonize and maintaining said planet in the far future.

“Dig, Build & Explore. Manage a group of colonists as they attempt to survive underground on an alien world. Automated machine construction was sent ahead to create the underground Mercury facility, but something has gone wrong. Your colonists awake to find the facility in ruin.”

The game is published and developed by a small studio that goes by the name of Nitrous Butterfly. The game almost rocks a top-down view, however the mechanics play out like any other game that has you abiding by colony simulation rules.

You can check out the latest trailer by Nitrous Butterfly for Mercury Fallen, which is an “Alpha Trailer” that runs for a minute and a half.

Features that will be in the Early Access version of Mercury Fallen will task you to treat injuries and ailments, assign jobs, figure out effective quirks, attend to needs, refine materials, and customize ranks and insignias through outfits and colors.

In addition to Early Access features, map customization, as seen in the trailer, is more than important. The feature allows colonies to reach areas and materials that otherwise would be impossible to cultivate. This building aspect can also opt for cloning machines that let you facilitate more individuals by growing and expanding your population through said technology.

More information on this game can be found by heading on over to Mercury Fallen’s Steam page or main website.
