The next upcoming Sonic game is set to come out this year, and it’s better known as Sonic Forces. It will debut across PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch come November 7th in the West and on November 9th in Japan. Ahead of said launch dates comes screenshots showing the stage Chemical Plant.
In a new batch of screenshots for Sonic Forces we see quite a bit of characters and the stage Chemical Plant through said stills. The images contain that of a customized character using a new move called “Drill Wispon.” This move can double as an attack to destroy enemies or a dash to speed through stages.
In addition to the above, Wispons are said to be a better take on the Color Powers from Sonic Colors. As explained above, Wispons can be used as an offensive ability or a defensive/speedy way to get past tricky parts of a stage.
Looking over to the character creation, players can equip their very own hero with a variety of Wispons to better control them across different stages. One of the Wispons we learn a bit more about is the Drill Wispon, which grants players the ability to Drill Dash on the ground to move faster or to navigate up walls. The Drill Wispon can be charged, too, and launched as a drill punch.
Looking over to the screenshots showing the stage Chemical Plant we also see stills showing Espio the Chameleon, Charmy Bee, Amy and Silver. You can check out all of the images below for your viewing pleasure:
There’s no telling how this game will be at launch and whether it will perform well or not, but what is for certain is that it will come out early next month. With that said, Sonic Forces is due for a PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch release on November 7-9th. More information can be found over on sonicthehedgehog.com.
