Call Of Duty: WW2 Cut Content Reveals New Weapons Behind Supply Drops

Many gamers seem to be frustrated over Activision and Sledgehammer Games blatantly lying about weapons not being in Supply Drops. The information on cut content and weapons being in Supply Drops comes in courtesy of Reddit user Itismrwonderful.

Remember when Micheal Condrey took to a Reddit AMA? Do you remember when publication site GameRant quoted Condrey when he said that Call of Duty: WW2 would not have weapons in Supply Drops? Well, it seems that he lied when he said:

“All weapon variants and gear variants in Call of Duty: WW2 supply drops are cosmetic only, so there are no stat-based variants in play.”

Many gamers are upset because the above blockquote contradicts the cut content and weapons nestled in the Supply Drops in the game’s actual files found by Reddit user Itismrwonderful.

The topic at hand is further discussed by YouTuber Eight Thoughts. Whether you like him or not, the video explaining the situation and his thoughts on the CoD: WW2 loot-box fiasco sits below.

As it stands now, and as of this writing, Supply Drops only contain a mix of items, but none of them offer a greater or significant gameplay advantage over another player.

It is worth noting that these Supply Drops do offer timed XP boosts such as weapon XP, soldier XP, Division XP and other things along the likes. Different weapon camos, cosmetic weapon variants, cosmetic attachment variants, gestures, and calling cards also happen to be in named drops.

I bet you’re thinking “okay, so what’s the problem here? We already knew that Condrey and crew would lie to us!” And that’s the problem, the fact that the devs said one thing and turned around and did something else without disclosing it to players.

Hypocrisy at its finest is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly or brushed off, especially when someone like Condrey says something to fans that contradicts in-game files.

Lastly, Activision will likely do one of two things in the future when the DLC holding said content drops:

1) Activision and crew quickly change the weapons from Supply Drops to some other form of unlock(s).

2) Activision keeps it the same and continues the blatant wheeler dealer lie.

Call of Duty: WW2 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
