Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories Trailer Teases City Wide Destruction

Granzella unveiled the new trailer for the upcoming PS4 release of Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories. The trailer was posted up to remind gamers that Granzella is still working on Disaster Report 4, after a long and arduous development cycle that originally began on the PS3.

You can tell from the character and vehicle graphics that the game was supposed to be a last-gen outing but was pushed back due to various reasons. So now it’s set to make its debut on the PlayStation 4 instead.

According to Open World News, Granzella is working with the Kobe City Shoboboku Fire Department in order to give the game its most realistic atmosphere and depictions yet. You can check out the trailer below to see what the gameplay is like for Disaster Report 4 Plus.

Atmosphere wise, the game looks fantastic. Granzella’s light rendering and use of shadows really help bring the destruction of the city to life. It’s not necessarily photorealistic but there are good contrasts between the palette of tones used to distinctly highlight greens, blues, yellows and red hues.

The trailer, unfortunately, doesn’t show much gameplay other than a lot of walking around. It’s not until the end of the trailer do we get to see the main heroine trip and fall after seeing a building collapse.

According to the game description, you’ll be able to choose between a male or female protagonist and you must wander the city and survive the hazards present after a massive earthquake took place.

To help make players feel at ease, the story centers around an out-of-town job hunter, so you’ll have to do a lot of exploring and meet-and-greets with the locals to understand what’s going on and what are the best ways to navigate the city.

You’ll be able to “collaborate” with various individuals along the way and attempt to gather the most useful info in order to make your way to safety.

Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories is due out exclusively on the PS4 at some point in early 2018.
