Eden Games’ Gear.Club Unlimited has made its way from the far corners of Android gaming to the center stage of the Nintendo Switch’s library as the first major third-party racing title featuring supercars and a robust customization suite.
Microids and Eden Games have recently announced that the game has launched for the Switch both digitally and physically. You can pick up a digital copy from the Nintendo eShop, or visit a participating GameStop location to buy a physical copy of the game.
It’s an arcade race tweaked to take advantage of the Switch’s hardware, including support for four-player split-screen races, and tabletop gaming for when you’re itching to game while you’re on the go.
The official launch trailer for the title is below, featuring some of the gameplay, customization and a look at the game’s graphics on Nintendo’s hybrid game console.
The minute and a half trailer starts with a cinematic look at the game’s visuals. It has all the basic earmark features for what’s considered graphically acceptable. It’s basically mid-range 360 level graphics. It’s got just enough basic reflection mapping on the bodies, high-poly meshes, and basic shadows and refraction. I would call the game visually serviceable.
As far as the gameplay is concerned… Gear.Club Unlimited relies heavily on being able to fine-tune your rides with a customizable garage that allows you to customize the cars.
The trailer then gives us a look at the aftermarket parts you can slap on your rides, the different tracks, track conditions, weather, and time of day effects that you’ll deal with, along with a look at the various locations you’ll visit.
You can grab a digital copy from the Nintendo eShop or mosey on over to the GameStop retail outlet near you to pick up a physical copy. European gamers can look for Gear.Club Unlimited to launch on the Nintendo Switch starting December 1st.
