Worms W.M.D. Arrives On Nintendo Switch Nov 23rd With All New Content

Team17 announced that Worms W.M.D. is currently set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch starting November 23rd, and it will launch with all new content made specifically for Nintendo’s little hybrid console.

For one, the game will come with an all new space theme called Wormhole. It will also feature all new mushroom and tree forts within the some of the stages. Three new hats have been added to the game, although we don’t know exactly what the hats are. And three new gravestones have been implemented, so you can die in style and in ways not available on the other systems.

The game will be available for only $29.99. You can check out the trailer below.

The game retains its lovable, violent, over-the-top charm while also affording players the opportunity to take it with them while they play on the go.

Obviously, having Worms on the Nintendo Switch is only as good as the multiplayer functionality to make it tick. So gamers are probably curious about what sort of multiplayer features are available? Well, there’s local four-player co-up that allows two people to play via Joy-Cons and two to play via additional controllers. There’s also support for up to six players via hot-seat mode, and they also support wireless LAN play for multiple Switch units.

Beyond the local modes you can also hop online and play against other people in competitive PvP bouts across a number of modes and maps, and there’s even a single-player mode for those of you who live life on the edge as a forever-aloner.

A special All-Stars pack is also included that features guest characters from Rocket League, Goat Simulator, The Escapists and Yooka-Laylee.

It kind of sounds like the Switch version of Worms W.M.D. might be the best version yet. You’ll be able to find out how well it plays when the game launches on November 23rd.
