Attack On Titan 2 Launches March 20th For PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Koei Tecmo announced that Attack on Titan 2 will officially launch next year on March 20th, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch, on Steam for PC, the PS4, and for the Xbox One.

The news went live recently, with Koei Tecmo detailing that the action-oriented, third-person, hack-and-slash multiplayer game will feature a large selection of playable characters, including Hitch Dreyse, Marlo Freudenberg, Mina Carolina, Nile Dawk, Thomas Wagner, Annie Leonhart, Bertholdt Hoover, Reiner braun, the Armored Titan, the Colossal Titan, the Female Titan and even the “Mysterious Titan”.

In addition to the main cast of characters from the anime and the original game, players will also be able to take on the role of their very own Scout with the new custom character creatio nsuite featured in the game. You’ll be able to carve out your own legacy as one of the few 3DG Titan slayers that hopefully doesn’t get their legs bit off and their arms gnawed to bits.

The sequel will feature a more robust combat system, with a stronger focus on dismemberment and tactical teamwork, which means players will have to rely on getting around Titans and avoiding getting grabbed or plucked out of the sky while attempting to get in close for the kill.

To help with the added combat depth, Koei has added a number of new moves to the player’s arsenal,. Including the evade-attacks such as the hook drive ability, the long-range sneak attack, and the ability to utilize the new monocular tool.

The first game showed potential. It wasn’t quite as in-depth as Feng Lee’s highly popular free-to-play Chinese rendition of Attack on Titan, which was built in the Unity 3D game engine, however it did have a lot of great groundwork laid for a robust sequel. So let’s hope that Koei is actually going to deliver on what the game appears to promise on paper.

You can look for the release of Attack on Titan 2 to land on store shelves and digital distribution outlets for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch starting March 20th, 2018. For more info feel free to visit the game’s official website.
