Danger Zone Updated On PC, PS4 With 12 New Levels

The spiritual successor to Burnout 3’s Crash Mode called Danger Zone has recently been updated with 12 brand new levels for gamers to race and crash through on PS4 and PC. The update went live today, with developer Three Fields Entertainment revealing that gamers can get in on the action right now.

In addition to the 12 new levels is also a revised progression system. You’ll now progress through the game and unlock stuff in a more streamlined setup.

Players will now have a total of 38 maps to race and crash across. However, even though the 12 new maps may be available for PC and PS4, the game itself is still available for Xbox One as well. It’s also enhanced for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Over on the official website the developers detailed the gimmicks and setup for each of the 12 maps, rolling through the basic crash premise and how players will be able to maximize their destructive tendencies.

Some of the new maps are crazy, like Tic Tac Towed, where you have to make a massive jump onto a circular test track suspended in the air while attempting to cause major mayhem.

There are also maps that are re-imagined “from the past” glory days of Burnout, along with maps where you’ll have to stop a convoy from reaching its destination at all costs.

The Bends With Benefits level is all about falling cars, while the Drop It Like It’s Hot stage sees players taking down flatbeds filled with toilets.

Danger Zone - Emergency-Stop

One of the more innovative stages is the Heartbreak Bridge, where your objective is to get to the bottom of the stage in one piece. It sounds easier than what it is due to the nature of the level and how many cars are present on the track. It reminds me of something out of Trackmania.

Danger Zone is out right now on the PlayStation Store, Steam and the Xbox Store for home consoles and PC.
