Guns, Gore And Cannoli Coming To Switch; Guns, Gore And Cannoli 2 Announced

Just in time for the holidays, Crazy Monkey Studios announced that Guns, Gore & Cannoli will be available on the Nintendo Switch starting December 21st later this week. If you were thinking about picking up something fun for the holidays on the Switch, I can actually say that Guns, Gore & Cannoli is a game definitely worth investing in.

The co-op beat-’em-up shooter is a mixed hybrid game of sorts, allowing players to utilize a variety of weapons in a side-scrolling action game where you play as a gangster attempting to rescue someone trapped in a part of town overrun with zombies. The game combines a prohibition-era motif with the typical survive-the-night gimmick where players must trudge through both gangsters and zombies.

It reminds me of a mix of Dead Connection meets Charlie Murder. You can check out the trailer below to get an understanding of what the gameplay is like below.

In addition to the campaign mode, you can also unlock a versus mode that you can play with up to seven other AI in a deathmatch battle arena.

The campaign mode itself can be played with up to four players working cooperatively through the levels. There are also 13 different skins you can unlock and use throughout the game.

I had a blast playing Guns, Gore & Cannoli. The game felt like a true throwback to classic side-scrolling arcade titles and console games where you were in control of a real badass and you were able to use some real badass weapons.

The story is also somewhat interesting, too, but the real highlight is the balls-to-the-walls gunplay and well paced level designs.

This is definitely the sort of game that needed to come to the Nintendo Switch.

Crazy Monkey Studios also announced that they’re working on a sequel, stating in the press release…

“Oh, and before we forget. With the Switch version out of the door, the team is now 200% focused on bringing you a little game called Guns, Gore & Cannoli 2. More on that very soon!”

I’m definitely looking forward to the sequel. Hopefully it’s still as hard-nosed and hardcore as the original game. Given today’s politically correct wave of moral hammering from SJW media we’ve seen plenty of games, movies and TV shows couch certain themes, stories and development in order to not offend anyone, creating some of the lamest forms of storytelling ever (i.e., WWE television).

Anyway, you can look to get your hands on Guns, Gore & Cannoli starting December 21st for the Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop. It’s definitely well worth the price of entry.
