Mega Man 11 Confirmed For PC, PS4, Xbox One And Nintendo Switch

Capcom has announced the release date and platforms for a new Mega Man game titled Mega Man 11. The upcoming title will drop across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch come 2018.

While we wait for the beautiful and intricate looking 16-bit Mega Man X Corrupted, a fan made project, to come out of development, folks interested in the blue bomber himself will have an official title by Capcom to look forward to in the form of Mega Man 11.

That’s right, Capcom will ship gamers a new Mega Man game for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. More information on this game is said to be issued out due in the summer of 2018, which prior to that Mega Man 11 will be on the January 2018 Game Informer cover featuring exclusive information on said title.

But if you don’t want to wait months just to find out the basics regarding Mega Man 11, like how its graphics, gameplay and other features will turn out at launch, Capcom has an official text overview and gameplay video for you to indulge in.

First up comes the official text overview explaining all things Mega Man 11 and Capcom’s approach to a new 2.5D blue bomber title:

“Led by a talented, veteran development team at Capcom, the new game features tight side-scrolling action gameplay the series is known for while completely revolutionizing the experience for modern consoles. Mega Man 11 will be a great entry for both fans and newcomers to the series to dive into as it retains its signature challenge while offering a variety of difficulty options. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and Windows PC in late 2018.

 

The classic series takes a leap forward in visual presentation in Mega Man 11 with a 2.5D design direction introducing beautiful, completely hand-drawn characters and environments. A freshly redesigned Mega Man takes on Dr. Wily’s berserk machines, defeating Robot Master bosses and taking their weapons, in an ever-evolving fight for justice with new and unique enemy designs. This is just a small taste of information of what’s to come in Mega Man 11 alongside the start of the series’ 30th anniversary year, and fans can look forward to more details on the game in Summer 2018.”
