Sonic, One Punch Man Mods Join Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

The emulation community wasn’t content simply emulating the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They wanted to take things a step further… they wanted to see how fast they could go, because they had to go fast. In result, their lust for fastness led them to one inevitable possibility: Sonic.

Now, previously modders had added Sanic to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And while the meme version of the blue hedgehog is always welcomed for those out there who like upgrading the dankness of their version of a game, more diehard furries want the one and only blue hedgehog when it comes to modding in a speedster into their game… I’m talking about Sonic.

Modder WilianZilv managed to grab the Sonic model from the mobile outing of Sonic Dash, and edited the model, rigged it, repackaged the texture and injected it into the emulated version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Wii U, enabling gamers to have Link ride Sonic fast … and hard.

You can check out the video below featuring Sonic being ridden by Link.

The mod is a reskin of Link’s new motorcycle that was made available in the newest Champions’ Ballad DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The Master Cycle skin keeps the functionality the same, but as you ride Sonic he revs up his legs and has a dirt trailer behind him.

It looks about as ridiculous as it sounds.

But the music and the way Sonic behaves in the video is priceless. Wilian did a bang-up job with the mod.

You can download Sonic for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from the Game Banana download page.

And for something completely different… there’s Saitama from One Punch Man.

Yes, you can replace Link’s skin to play as the one and only One Punch Man from the anime and manga of the same name.

Wilian Zilv released the mod a while ago after tweaking the head, packing the textures and once again injecting it into the ROM data, but there doesn’t appear to be a source on where the model came from.

Either way, it completely replaces the Hylian Armor and Link’s head. Your attack also pimp-slaps enemies into the dirt.

You can download the mod to replace Link with Saitama from One Punch Man by hitting up the Game Banana download page.
