Titan Quest, ARPG Coming To Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One In 2018

Iron Lore Games, along with Black Forest Games and Pieces Interactive, announced that THQ Nordic will be publishing and distributing Titan Quest for the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2018.

The game will arrive in both a standard and collector’s edition, starting with the Xbox One and PS4 versions set to arrive in March for $29.99. The standard edition comes with the game and the Immortal Throne content.

The collector’s edition features an additional replica of a 23cm Greek helmet, a notepad and a premium box, as showcased in the image below.

Titan Quest Collector's Edition

The collector’s edition clocks in at a hefty $119.99. It’s not for the faint of wallets.

The game itself is about a Titans having escaped from their eternal prison and wreaking havoc across Greece, Egypt and Asia. You’ll don the role of a champion who must defeat the Titans in order to save both Earth and the realms beyond.

Titan Quest is an isometric-style action-RPG centered around magic, swords, sandals and larger-than-life clashes with mythological creatures.

This will mark the first major fantasy-ARPG for the Nintendo Switch that hearkens back to the likes of Diablo-style hack-and-slash looters. There are a few isometric action games for the Switch, but nothing quite in line with like the classics such as Planescape, Baldur’s Gate or Diablo.

The game sports 28 different character classes to customize and more than 1,000 pieces of unique and legendary items to acquire. There’s also support for multiplayer ranging from two to six players via online co-op play.

The upcoming console release of Titan Quest will feature the all new remastered graphics for full HD support.

Hopefully the Nintendo Switch version will feature local co-op play, which would easily make it the best of the three renditions. If you don’t live or die by console gaming you can also pick up a digital copy of Titan Quest for PC from GOG.com or Steam.
