Gravel Pre-Order Bonus Features The Porsche Rallye Pack

A lot of gamers are absolutely fed up with the whole pre-order bonus culture in gaming. Nevertheless, some people like the idea of getting incentives for putting money down early for their favorite upcoming titles, while others enjoy being able to help support developers that they feel is worth the time, effort and their economic expenditure. Well, Milestone is diving headfirst into the pre-order pond with the Porsche Rallye Pack for their upcoming racing game, Gravel, and those who desperately want to get their hands on the bonus DLC will be able to do so by pre-ordering the game.

In a recent press release, the company announced that if you pre-order Gravel you’ll get the DLC Porsche Rallye Pack for free. The pack comes with the Porsche 924 GTS Rallye, along with two special liveries based on the 1981 and 1982 rally events. The pack will also feature the Porsche 959 Rallye edition with the official 1986 livery.

So in total, there are only two cars and three liveries included in the DLC bonus pack.

You can see how the prestigious vehicles look in the upcoming game with the promo trailer below.

I was never really a fan of the Porsche 924 series, as it just never looked much like a Porsche to me. However, I’ve also had a soft spot for the more classical frog-faced design usually endemic to the 911 series.

This is also the first time in a long time that we’re seeing Porsche as a car manufacturer featured in a game outside of the Electronic Arts label. The publisher had secured an exclusive license to Porsche since 1999, cutting out a lot of other top name racing simulators from using the brand in their games. This resulted in most companies defaulting to RUF.

However, thankfully, the exclusive partnership ended at the tail end of 2016, and so since then we’re seeing Porsche pop up in more games, big and small across the board… as evident with Gravel.

The rally racing game from Milestone is due out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on February 27th next month. For more info on the rally sim you can visit the official Gravel website.
