Monster Energy Supercross Has A Track Editor… But Not For Nintendo Switch

Milestone and Monster Energy released a new trailer for the upcoming Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame, featuring the game’s detailed track editor, which will allow you to build and create your very own motorcross racing tracks.

The minute long trailer reveals how players can choose a stadium, including a football stadium or a baseball stadium; choose an indoor or outdoor stadium; you can select the size of the stadium, and its general appearance.

Once the stadium aspect is all set and done, you then get to design the track within the stadium. Here you’ll be able to use a modular system to attach and connect pieces together from more than 80 different modules that includes turns, twists, jumps, slopes, hills, and mounds.

You can also select from various track pieces, including curves, whoops, rhythm sections and even straight lines. You can see what the track editor looks like in action with the trailer below.

Once you get done making the track of your dreams, you can race on it yourself or take the next step and upload it online to the Milestone Monster Energy Supercross community so that you can share your creation with other players. The only downside is that you won’t be sharing those creations with other Nintendo Switch owners because the Nintendo Switch version won’t be receiving the track editor.

The press release makes it known that the Nintendo Switch version will not receive the track editor. It’s in small print within the press release, almost like they were sad and ashamed to include that little tidbit.

It’s a real shame because that would have been an awesome feature to have while gaming on the go. I’m not entirely sure what the limitation was there for not including it, but… oh well.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame is due for release on February 13th for the Xbox One, PS4, on Steam for PC, and for the Nintendo Switch. For more info on the game and what will and won’t be in each version, you can visit the official website.
