The second trailer for The Rock’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the arcade game Rampage has dropped, and it features a brief look at the third monster in the film: Ralph.
The original trailer introduced us to George and a brief glimpse at Lizzie. The second trailer shows us Ralph tearing through the concrete jungle like Obamacare’s penalties tear through your checkbook. The Rock, as expected, quips about the flying wolf while decked out in a variety of weapons and explosives.

Unlike the last trailer, things start off explosive this time around. We get a quick recap of how a George encounters an alien artifact, gets infected and then gets big.
This incredible growth spur ends up getting the government involved, led by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. After attempting to transport George and failing, this leads The Rock and the diversity-hire scientist to track down George, who has made his way into town.
George isn’t alone, though. We find out that Lizzie the alligator and Ralph the wolf are also wrecking havoc.
In order to help save his buddy, The Rock ends up beating up a few soldiers, making a joke about “just let it happen” – the same one Microsoft made at E3 back in 2013 and got called an enabler of “rape culture” for their efforts – and then proceeds to fly a helicopter in order to help George and fight off the other two monsters.
It doesn’t seem like Jeffrey Dean Morgan lasts long throughout the film, but
The movie looks like pure popcorn bait for people who enjoy simple, mindless, blockbuster action. It’s hard to tell if it will deliver or if it’ll be a summer dud like Independence Day 2, but we’ll likely find out when Rampage hits theaters on April 20th.
