Arc System Works And Swery Announce The Missing

Arc System Works and White Owls studio director Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro have announced their new game The Missing. Very little is known about The Missing, but it is planned to ship this year for the latest game consoles.

Arc System Works is known for its games like Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball FighterZ and BlazBlue, and this time around the company will help Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro with The Missing.

Swery is the director over White Owls studio, and this studio will stand as the developer over The Missing. There’s no telling what this game will be like at launch, meaning that we’ll have to wait for more details to find out exactly what it will be like.

In the meantime, you can look over this new announcement video of The Missing that features Swery explaining the collaboration between Arc System Works and White Owls studio, and then some.

If you didn’t catch all of what was said in the above video, Swery went on to say the following:

“The title, “The Missing,” has many meanings. A missing person, someone who’s lost, or even something lost. Maybe it’s your loved one… or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? The Missing is for someone like you.”

Swery continued on about the collaboration between Arc System Works and White Owls studio, and how he enjoys his creative freedom:

“This is an exciting collaboration between Arc System Works and White Owls. It also marks White Owl’s first game developed in-house. That makes The Missing a thoroughbred project. Developed by my own team in my own studio. Arc System Works has given me an opportunity to create something entirely new. Of course, this comes with its fair share of challenges, but we’re tackling them one at a time. But I’m definitely enjoying my creative freedom. Arc System Works has been very supporting. And they let me pursue my vision.”

The announcement video ended with Swery saying he couldn’t reveal too much, but that this title “will blow your mind” because “it’s sick”. With all of that said, are you excited for this project by Arc System Works and White Owls studio?
