Taking a look over to the indie scene we have publisher and developer Evil Bite’s strategy city builder, Depraved. The PC game is currently in development and is set to release on Steam Early Access “soon”.
Evil Bite first released its indie strategy city builder, Depraved, on Steam Greenlight back on March 20th, 2017. The game explores the Wild West and the act of building up a civilization, while managing supplies and other useful materials to survive:
“Depraved is a city builder game with survival aspects, settled in the Wild West. Build towns and establish important outposts to supply your residents with food and other raw materials. Resist the seasons, dangerous animals, and bandits and conquer the Wild West.”
The game in question sees the residents of Depraved sporting typical needs consisting of hunger and thirst, which you can meet by providing food and water.
In addition to tending to the needs of your population in the Wild West, every population type craves for a specific source of food. If your population type experiences a shortage of food and the preferential food is not available, you can supplement them with an alternative food source.
The act of alternate food source, however, will affect the mood of your residents in a negative way. Unhappy residents can lead to acts such as raids and criminal offenses.
Treating your civilization harshly, poorly or outright brutal will cause them to leave town. If you think you have what it takes to maintain a civilization out in the Wild West, two video trailers showing Depraved sit below.
It’s worth noting that the indie game sports “Dozens of challenges” that lay waiting across different areas in which your residents can settle down. These challenge can be weather effects, bandits, wild animals or something else like a trap.
