Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed To October 26th, 2018

Rockstar Games has come forth to announce yet another delay and release date for Read Dead Redemption 2. The wild west PS4 and Xbox One game was originally set to debut late 2017, then Spring of 2018 and now late 2018.

According to rockstargames.com we learn that a tweet and letter explaining Red Dead Redemption 2’s delay has come forth. Both the newly posted tweet and letter can be thoroughly looked over below.

“Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

With thanks,
Rockstar Games”.

It’s unclear if Rockstar Games is trying to reconfigure its MTX model in Red Dead Redemption 2 or if the team is actually trying to polish up the game due to bugs and other issues?

While Rockstar Games fixes up the second installment to the first game, which likely sees the team handling the above mentioned tasks, the team sent out screenshots “from the game” that depict various scenes, and characters.

You can view each of the new screens below.

Lastly, it wouldn’t be wrong of you to think that another delay may be around the corner due to the past delays. While delaying a game is arguably a good and bad thing, given Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has admitted to being pro “live service” there’s a lot to worry about when it comes to this game’s delay.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently slated to launch for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th, 2018.
