Sega has released a new video stream showing off Yakuza Kiwami and the remastered version of the original Shining Resonance game that dropped for PS3 in Japan on December 11th, 2014. The stream reveals an hour of Shining Resonance Refrain gameplay.
That’s right, Sega has released an hour of Shining Resonance Refrain gameplay during a live stream. Folks eager to get their hands on the game will be able to watch an early glimpse before its summer release rolls around.
“Welcome to SEGA Live! For the first hour, join Localization Producers Scott and Sam as they play through Yakuza Kiwami and talk about the latest news. Immediately after, SEGA’s Melissa and Elwood will give you an exclusive look at Shining Resonance Refrain!”

If you don’t know the remastered RPG was announced earlier this week and is coming to North America and Europe for PC via Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch this summer. The game will also features dual audio with English and Japanese voices and text.
According to Sega all of the original’s DLC is now part of the base “Original Mode”. Moreover, Shining Resonance Refrain offers a new “Refrain Mode” that unlocks the Imperial Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas as party members for a new experience.
Shining Resonance Refrain will release for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One across the West this summer, which includes a PC version via Steam that is said to be developed by O-Two. The Japanese version will release for PS4 and has a due date of March 29th, 2018.
