Warhammer Vermintide 2 PC Beta Goes Live While PS4, Xbox One Beta Sign-Ups Open

You can currently beta test Fatshark’s Warhammer Vermintide 2 for PC if you have a Steam account. The beta test will last this weekend and is available for anyone who has signed up for a beta key through the official website.

The beta will run through this weekend while the full game is prepping for launch first on PC starting March 8th.

Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark, explained in the press release that demand has been so high that they’ve also made it available for those who pre-order the game to get in on the beta, stating…

“The demand for keys has been much higher than we ever imagined, and as such we are getting a lot of emails from gamers that haven’t gotten keys. However, anyone that has Pre-Ordered the game will also be able to play the BETA.”

Some gamers have already begun uploading content and footage of their play sessions from the recent closed beta test for Warhammer Vermintide 2. You can check out some of the unedited, real-time footage from Noob Bolado to get an idea of what the game is like:

With a high FOV and fast-paced run-and-slash gameplay afoot, many gamers are getting in some good game time with Fatshark’s title and running it through the ringer by play testing it through every nook and cranny they can squeeze into.

Fatshark has been heavily pushing for the pre-order bonuses and collector’s edition, the latter of which comes with the official soundtrack, two special skins, some wallpapers, and a digital map.

There are five playable heroes this time around, each with their own abilities, talents and weapons. You can also alter their loadouts and skillsets by directing them through 15 different careers, each one has its own special appearance and play-style.

If you don’t have a capable PC Master Rig, it’s fine… you can still get in some sub-par entertainment out of the Xbox One and PS4 version. In fact, you can sign-up right now to participate in the PS4 beta or the Xbox One beta.

They don’t say when they’ll get underway but apparently it’s soon.
