Memories of Mars is an upcoming online first-person survival game that will come out this spring. 505 Games and Limbic Entertainment, the ones behind Memories of Mars, have released a new work-in-progress video showing sand serpents, which is accompanied by a brief open area gameplay video.
Ahead of Memories of Mars spring Steam Early Access release for PC comes two videos showing in-game footage. The first video, which was posted on March 1st, comes work in progress (WIP) gameplay of serpents.
Serpents or “Serpentes” can be found primarily in open areas, and there will be three variations of this enemy type. The serpents shown in the video happen to be the smallest and weakest out of the three, but you can be the judge of the WIP video by checking it out thanks to the game’s YouTube channel.
The next video comes in by Skycaptin5lol, who is teamed up with other players. The near 20 minute long video shows firefights, scavenging, and the act of exploration.
Just like the first video, the second video is a WIP form of Memories of Mars and does not represent the final build of the game. The gameplay session aims to show the scope of Memories of Mars and what is currently possible in this build.
If you are into online first-person shooter survival games with sci-fi features sprawled throughout, Memories of Mars is a game worth keeping an eye on.
On a side note, though, hopefully the devs can fix the game up so that when it does launch on Steam Early Access it functions properly and doesn’t follow other Early Access titles of perpetually staying in WIP form.
Time will tell how Memories of Mars will turn out, in the meantime you can hit up its Steam Early Access page or memoriesofmars.com to learn more.
