THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios announced that MX Vs ATV: All Out is currently available right now for PS4, Xbox One and PC from participating distributors.
Klemens Kreuzer, the managing director at THQ Nordic, explained in the press release that terrain deformation and world-dynamic physics rest at the heart of the MX Vs ATV: All Out experience, advancing the racing simulation genre by pushing the tech underneath the hood to offer gamers more than just another carbon copy off-road racing clone. Kreuzer explains…
“The off-road racing experience is all about freedom – choose what to ride and how to upgrade it, what gear to wear, how to compete, where to compete, who to compete against – all of this, plus major enhancements to Rainbow’s patented physics and terrain deformation technologies: Rider-Reflex 2.0 and Real-Time Deformation 2.0! MX vs ATV All Out is truly Rainbow’s crowning achievement!”
Real-time geometry deformation is such a highly underutilized feature in today’s gaming market. I just wish we saw so much more of that instead of the typical ho-hum gaming experiences we’ve been receiving.
You can see what the feature is like with the launch trailer below, which gives you a glimpse at the physics and racing mechanics in MX vs ATV: All Out.
The trailer starts off by giving you a look at the different classes of racing vehicles at the disposal of players, which includes two-wheeled dirt bikes, ATVs and dune buggies.
You’ll race across outdoor circuits, stadium dirt tracks, and waypoint runs.
A number of competitions are also available, including Nationals, Supercross, Opencross, Tag and the freestyle stunt mode. You can also play through the game in local two-player split-screen races or in online races with up to 15 other players.
You can also unlock new gear and customize both your ride and your character with a number of liveries and parts.
You can grab a copy of the game right now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. You can learn more by visiting the official website.
