10Tons announced that after a successful launch of Tesla Vs Lovecraft on Steam, the developers are now putting their sights on a console release for the game starting March 16th with an Xbox One release.

According to Steam Spy, they’ve moved just under 7,000 units since launching at the end of January. For a game without a marketing budget and just kind of pancaking its way onto the Steam store, 10Tons has noted that they have been extremely satisfied with the community feedback for the game so far. Quite a few people got refunds during the early launch, apparently play-testing the game just to see what it was like, but the sales are on an uptick once more, stabilizing after the initial launch rush.

Since release they’ve been updating the game and balancing out some of the gameplay, including fixing the camera’s manual adjustment in the game options, some fixes for the cutscenes, and a few crashes that would occur on old Windows XP systems.

Pre-orders for the Xbox One version are currently live right now. The game will launch at the $14.99 price point.

For those of you who have been out of the loop, Tesla Vs Lovecraft pits the world’s greatest inventor against the world’s most deranged fiction writer. The two lock horns in a battle of wits – technology versus the Eldritch abominations from the extra-dimensional planes.

Players will control Tesla as he uses his arc casters and Tesla Mech to blast through and stomp over Lovecraft’s monstrous minions.

Much like every other 10Tons game, Tesla Vs Lovecraft is an isometric twin-stick shooter. If you were hoping for the two-player co-op from games like Neon Chrome and Jydge,  the game has a four-player co-op mode. They’ve also traded in the cyberpunk motif for a 19th century urban American theme.
