Banner Saga 3 Release Date Set For July 24th, 2018

Stoic Studios announced that the release date for Banner Saga 3 is set for July 24th, 2018 for the Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4.

The game is also scheduled to release for mobile devices later on in 2018, but a solid release date hasn’t been set just yet.

In addition to announcing the release date, Stoic Studios also unveiled that PC gamers will be eligible to receive pre-order bonuses, including the Dredge Ally Pack, which includes a Dredge Stoneguard character named Kivi who joins your team. He’s a rank 10 warrior and can easily help turn the tide during the tactical turn-based battles.

Kivi also comes with a special Sculptor’s Tools item, along with the “Shield Cleaver” title and the the overture track for Banner Saga 3 from composer Austin Wintory, the same brilliant mind behind the award-winning Journey soundtrack.

A trailer for the pre-order bonuses was also released, which you can view below.

If the Dredge plays a part in the story – a significant part, sort of like the Promethean from Mass Effect 3’s DLC – I can only imagine some fans getting somewhat peeved at the idea of having to pre-order the game to get their hands on this character.

The standard version of the game will be available for $24.99, while the deluxe edition will cost you $29.99, which comes bundled with Wintory’s official soundtrack for the game, along with a digital wallpaper, world map, and the “Gold Wasp” in-game title. There’s also the legendary edition that runs for $39.99, and it comes with a couple of legendary itmes and the “Shadow Walker” title.

Additionally, there will be a physical edition of the game launching for the PS4 and Xbox One courtesy of 505 Games for $39.99. The physical edition will actually include the entire Banner Saga trilogy, which isn’t a bad price for all three games on disc.
