Bud Spencer And Terence Hill: Slaps And Beans Beat-‘Em-Up Graduates From Early Access

The retro beat-’em-up game from Trinity Team and Buddy Productions based on the old skits of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill has officially graduated from Early Access. The game is currently available right now in its full form for $19.99. However, during the first week of being on sale, you can grab the game for 20% off for only $15.99.

As noted in the Steam community post, the developers acknowledged that the full release on Steam doesn’t mean development is done…

“Full Release does not mean that we will abandon the game: we will continue to support it with new updates and content as we have always done, so it’s a simple change of label that the game now deserves thanks to everyone’s passion.”

The full release features additional language support for simplified Chinese and Russian, and they have plans on adding Japanese language support later on.

From Early Access to full release the developers also added in additional mini-games, all new enemies to fight, and 30 different achievements. They also plopped in some Steam trading cards for good measure.

The game itself is a two-player cooperative beat-’em-up designed to replicate the good times and fun moments from many classic arcade and 16-bit brawlers from back in the day.

The slapstick style fighting in the game is captured with perfect hilarity and accuracy via sprite-based animations. The sprite work, I might add, is fantastic. Check it out in the trailer below.

It reminds me a little bit of The Simpsons arcade game but with some added elements of Crime Fighters.

It’s such a dire shame that we don’t get more games like this, but I’m glad Trinity Team decided to hunker down and give gamers a quality beat-’em-up title base don the Bud Spencer & Terence Hill fight choreography.

You can pick up a digital copy of the game right now from the Steam store for $19.99.
