Bandai Namco and Soleil’s Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is still set to come out sometime later this year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, producer Noriaki Niino took to an update video to explain that a summer open beta is set to get underway.
You can watch what producer Noriaki Niino has to say about Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, the upcoming game’s summer open beta, and the experience the team wishes to bring to gamers, as seen below.
It is said by Niino that after the February beta test, the dev team went back and are implementing several improvements and gameplay changes to Shinobi Striker. The two changes are also accompanied by server stability fixes, too.
In addition to the above, the changes made are said to come at a price of being difficult when addressing these problems, which the results of these changes and fixes should be present in the upcoming summer open beta.
Speaking of the open beta, Bandai Namco will host it on PS4 from late July into early August. The beta in question will feature new characters such as Sarada and Mitsuki, as well as a new modernized stage of Hidden Leaf Village.
According to Bandai Namco in regards to Sarada and Mitsuki, Sarada is said to be a good fit “for every 4-player-team,” since she can heal her teammates while attacking the enemies with the Uchiha Shuriken Jutsu Spring Storm.
As for Mitsuki, he is more of a defensive type character. His Sage Mode allows him to boost all of his abilities, but he will not be able to use Ninjutsu at the same time.
Lastly, the modernized Hidden Leaf Village stage will be a good fit for new players according to Bandai Namco. No pits or hard to maneuver areas will be present, but instead the stage will be suited for beginners and is easy to master.
