Land Patricio announced that Sol705 is prepping to make its debut on Kickstarter starting May 8th next month. Ahead of the game’s Kickstarter debut there’s a free demo that you can play for the PC version of Sol705.
You can grab the demo right now from over on the Steam store page.
The free demo contains the entire first episode of Sol705 that you can play through. The point-and-click title centers around a mystery taking place at Tucana Lake during a winter holiday. The kids attempt to uncover some paranormal phenomena taking place within the area.
Designed like a classic, 2D point-and-click title, you’ll play through the adventure game with hand-painted characters, and a rock-and-role theme.
The game sports an eclectic mix of music from symphonic tunes to punk-rock and plenty of other tunes in between.
You can see what the gameplay is like with the trailer below.
Sol705 features a full English dubbing with subtitle support for French, Spanish, Russian and German.
Like most other point-and-click adventure games you’ll have to talk to a variety of wacky NPCs, and scour environments for clues while solving puzzles along the way.
I’m not entirely sure what separates this particular point-and-click title from all the others one out there, but I suppose if you’ve been playing a bunch of games like Deponia and Thimbleweed Park and Jenny LeClue, you might want something new to fulfill your point-and-click game palate.
The game has already been available for iOS and Android devices, allowing you to be able to play the game on the mobile smart devices assuming you don’t mind playing games on five inch screens.
You can either grab the demo from the Steam store or you can head to the itch.io store to learn more about the title. Starting May 8th you’ll want to keep your eye out for the Kickstarter going live.
