Belgian development studio Cybernetic Walrus and Dutch publisher Iceberg Interactive have announced that the futuristic racing game, Antigraviator, will release on Steam for PC starting June 6th. The game is also scheduled to release later in the year for the PS4 and Xbox One as well.

Mike Coeck, CEO of Cybernetic Walrus, mentioned in the press release that now that the PC version is complete and scheduled to release next month, they’re putting their focus on the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Antigraviator, saying…

“We know that PC gamers have been looking forward to playing our game and its greatest asset: no speed limit. In addition, we’re working hard on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game and thank console gamers for their patience.”

The game is described as a cross between F-Zero and Wipeout, a mixture of two popular franchises from Nintendo and Sony’s home consoles. The release date announcement for the PC version of Antigraviator was accompanied by a new trailer so you can see just how similar it is to the classic futuristic racers.

The trailer highlights the game’s rapid-paced tracks, where players will be able to take impossible turns at impossible speeds, flipping, spinning and jumping all over the place. It’s amazing that this game is built on the Unity 3D game engine, because due to its speed and visuals I most certainly would have said that this was an Unreal Engine 4-powered title.

To help add some element of intrigue and balance to the game, there are also power-ups and racing abilities you can utilize in order to help even the odds against racers who know how to take every turn perfectly and every corner cleanly.

The game reminds me a lot of Redout, but the big difference is that with Antigraviator there are no speed limits.

The game will also feature online multiplayer and local split-screen play for up to four players. Single-player modes are also available, including a campaign mode where you can unlock new ships, new skins, and new parts while mastering each of the game’s 12 different race tracks spread across four different worlds.
