Lince Works announced that Aragami, the stealth-oriented ninja game, will be making its way to the Xbox One for the very first time in the form of Aragami: Shadow Edition. This will come jam packed with the original base game, along with all of the subsequently released DLC up until this point.
You’ll be able to pick up the Shadow Edition when the new expansion releases later this year for home consoles and PC. Yes, this means that you’ll be able to get your hands on the Aragami: Nightfall expansion that was announced, which is a prequel story to the events that happen in the base game. It will be included inside the Shadow Edition at launch, so those of you who already have Aragami can get your hands on Nightfall, while those of you who have never purchased the game will be able to access the base game and the Nightfall DLC, along with all the previously released DLC for $24.99.
The best part about it is that Xbox One players will be able to join up and play co-op missions with PC gamers via the cross-platform compatibility, just the same as PS4 players will be able to join up and do co-op missions with PC gamers via the cross-platform compatibility. Unfortunately, there is no inter-console cross-platform connectivity, so PS4 and Xbox One players won’t be able to team up together.
You can check out the Aragami: Shadow Edition trailer below to get an idea of everything that Lince Works is packing into the latest iteration of their crowdfunded title.
As depicted in the trailer, you’ll have the ability to manipulate darkness and the shadows around you. The more you stay cloaked in the shadows, the more powerful you’ll become.
You have a number of abilities at your disposal, including vortex orbs, a shadow slide, and the ability to turn invisible to avoid detection.
The game is a spiritual successor to the classic Tenchu series, which has fallen off the map. But on the upside Lince Works seems to know what Tenchu fans want and has attempted to deliver that through Aragami.
Prior to the release of Aragami: Shadow Edition both PC and PS4 gamers will also receive a free performance update to fix a few of the nagging issues that have been present since the game’s release. You can learn more by visiting the official website.
