Looking to build your very own arcade? It looks like you will be able to do so this year thanks to Vincent King Studio. The game in question, Arcade Tycoon, is set to release this September and puts you over the management side of running an arcade.
Arcades helped pioneer several franchises and game mechanics that are now widely recognized on PC and home console. If you want to virtually experience those times in a whacky way or build up your own virtual arcade parlor, Arcade Tycoon will let you do just that.
“Build and Manage your own arcade. Pick the best cabinets, creating your own machines, hire and fire staff, plan and manage your venues and try not to blow everything up!”
If you have the gusto to hire the right management and staff or fire bad employees, know that that’s just scratching the surface of Arcade Tycoon. Managing arcade cabinets, exploring a sandbox mode, and diving head first into a full campaign are just some things in Arcade Tycoon.
Instead of rambling on about the game, you can check out the official pre-alpha trailer right here.
Furthermore, different locations like mega shopping malls and haunted hotels will be places where you can build your arcades. In addition to building arcades, you will not only have to maintain your cabinets and machines but also the attention span of your audience. In other words, your arcade parlor will need attractions and decorations to keep people there and as re-occurring customers.
Last but not least, you can look forward to Arcade Tycoon to drop for PC via Steam Early Access this September. No official release date for the September due game has been announced yet, but I’m sure that will change in the near future.
