As of May 7th, 2018, NIS America and indie developer Wazen’s stylized action game, Assault Spy, is now up for public consumption via Steam Early Access. The over-the-top action game in question is available to pick up right now for $19.99.
If you are looking to play a stylized 3D anime-like fighting game, NIS America and Wazen have released Assault Spy for PC through Early Access. The game brings an action-oriented experience mixed with espionage comedy to the table. As described on the store page…
Dash, evade, and smash your way to the truth as the corporate spy, Asaru; or the reckless CIA agent, Amelia! Uncover the dark secrets of the Negabot mega corporation as you save the company from a hostile takeover. Assault Spy is a stylish, fast paced, pure-action game with a dash of comedy.
The story of Assault Spy sees Asaru, an elite company spy, paired with the clumsy Kanoko Yotsuba, who causes most of Asaru’s missions to end on a bad note. Asaru’s performance later hits rock bottom, but when things couldn’t get any worse, he is picked to infiltrate a global mega-corporation named Negabot.
The main story has two sides to it. According to the devs, the game has it where you play as the professional and unfortunate spy Asaru, and the reckless CIA agent Amelia, both of which offer gamers distinct play-styles to suit their tastes in third-person, fast-paced combat.
As for gameplay, acts like dashing, evading and smashing will come in handy while infiltrating Negabot. If you want to see the game in action and the main characters, Asaru and Amelia, both the announcement and Early Access trailers sit below.
Furthermore, “dynamic actions” can be obtained by defeating enemies, allowing you to pull off some unique moves. The devs also make mention that your move-set will expand upon defeating certain enemies and can be used to chain together combos with special finishers.
Assualt Spy is out now for PC on Steam Early Access and currently runs for $19.99.
