Battlefield V Will Have Grand Operations, Customization, And No Premium Model

Battlefield V is set to release on October 19th, and it has been officially revealed by EA and DICE. The reveal event proved AlmightyDaq correct in that the next installment in the Battlefield series will explore different theaters of war during WW2. Battlefield V will feature the return of Operations as Grand Operations, co-op multiplayer as Combined Arms, player customization, and a live service that will replace the premium model.

From disabled female soldiers to all-out destructive combat comes Battlefield V. Instead of rambling on about the game you can check out the new reveal trailer right here.

Firstly, Grand Operations will be the successor to the original Operations; the latter was first introduced in 2016 via Battlefield 1. This mode will expand on the community welcomed mode and then some.

Secondly, Combined Arms will allow for co-op play or multiplayer fun on the battlefield. If you enjoy squading up with a buddy and taking the fight in pairs, well know that you can do so in the forthcoming title.

Thirdly, customization will be a thing for both your soldier and weapons, as depicted below.

Moving on to the fourth point, Tides of War will allow you to partake in unique events and snag equipment, which can only be obtained through playing. According to DICE, no “pay-2-win” mechanics will be in the game, whereupon this “live service” in question will replace the premium model featured in past Battlefield titles.

Looking over to the fifth point, new mechanics such as Rainbow 6 Siege‘s prone movement, such as moving around on your rear while gun-ready, is a thing, accompanied by a mechanic called “Fortifications.” This mechanic allows for you to select a toolbox (instead of BF1’s gasmask) so that you can build reinforcements, re-build destroyed stuff, and dig foxholes.

Lastly, and with all of that said, Battlefield V will sport War Stories, Grand Operations, Combined Arms, soldier customization, a live service, no premium model, disabled female soldiers, R6S’s prone maneuvers, sliding around, and Tides of War.

Battlefield V is set to release on October 19th, 2018, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
