Darq was once a product of Steam Greenlight and IndieGoGo, and it looks as if the psychological horror game will be hitting Steam later this year during the fourth quarter. To celebrate the PC game’s latest release window comes a new trailer (Darq’s third trailer to be exact) that focuses on ever-shifting rooms and gravity-defying mechanics.

If you have no clue as to what Darq is, think a bit of Bandai Namco and Tarsier Studios’ Little Nightmares fused with a Tim Burton film, and physics-defying mechanics set in a nightmarish dream.

The game in question’s unique art style mixes 2D and 3D graphics to create a somber look and eerie designs in a dark nebulous dreamscape, which all takes place in the head of a kid named Lloyd:

“DARQ tells the story of Lloyd, a boy who becomes aware of the fact that he is dreaming. To Lloyd’s misfortune, the dream quickly turns into a nightmare and all attempts to wake up end in failure. While exploring the darkest corners of his subconscious, Lloyd learns how to survive the nightmare by bending the laws of physics and manipulating the fluid fabric of the dream world.”

Seriously, though, Darq looks pretty darn nice, especially given that a small team developed this interesting dream-like game. Anyway, you can be the judge yourself on how Darq looks by watching the newly released third trailer as seen below.

Right now, Darq is set to release on PC via Steam. It’s uncertain at this point if Unfold Games, the developers behind Darq, will debut the horror-puzzle game in an early state on Early Access or if the team will ship a complete package via Steam?
