From the creators of Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter comes Frogwares’ upcoming game The Sinking City. The game slated to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in the future, has a new teaser and Q&A video that offer a bit more insight on the H.P. Lovecraft inspired mystery game.
The Sinking City takes place during the 1920s in Oakmont, Massachusetts (or New England), and follows a private investigator who finds the city suffering from abnormal floods.
If you want a sneak peek at The Sinking City, Frogwares posted a new teaser trailer for you to look over that clocks in around the one minute and 20 seconds.
Fancy the teaser trailer? If so, Frogwares has a series of Q&A videos that pick specific fan questions, and then one of the developers answers those questions. In other words, these Q&A videos aim to help viewers on The Sinking City’s development and what to expect.
In addition to the above, the team wanted to address fan concerns about shooting animations as well as share their vision on releasing game-related stuff — like a public demo, mod tools, and gameplay trailers — in the future.
You can check out the recently posted Q&A video, as seen below.
It’ll be interesting to see how Frogwares will execute an open world game with investigative mystery elements coupled with H.P. Lovecraft’s spaghetti monsters and themes.
While we wait for more gameplay footage, the current state of the game is still in the development phase, so it means that we won’t be seeing this very title release anytime soon. However, the team will continue to share information on The Sinking City via social media and other game-related events.
