Dark Souls Remastered has a new trailer out for gamers and fans alike to look over. This new trailer happens to be the official launch trailer, which FromSoftware released ahead of the game’s May 25th launch day for PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. The Switch version will not release with the other three platforms but instead sometime this summer.
If you wish to plunge past book passages to Lordran and traverse the limits of adventure, do know that you’ll be able to do so soon from the top of the highest tower to the most obscure depths of the Earth that hold dangers and “marvels beyond human understanding” on May 25th.
You can sate your eyes on the newly released launch trailer courtesy of FromSoftware.
Besides the new Dark Souls Remastered launch trailer, we learn that Bandai Namco has opened digital pre-orders for the game through the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store. In other words, if you’re into pre-ordering games now is your chance to secure a copy.
Furthermore, Bandai Namco also announced that folks who own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition on Steam will receive a 50 percent discount towards their purchase of Dark Souls Remastered for PC. This discount will bring Dark Souls Remastered initial price point of $39.99 down to $19.99.
In addition to the above, Bandai Namco noted that on May 8th at 4:00 P.M. PT, the Steam version of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition has been removed and will be replaced by Dark Souls Remastered on May 25th.
Something worth noting is that folks who currently own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition will be able to play or download the game from their Steam library after its absence.
Finally, the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Dark Souls Remastered are still set to launch late next month on May 25th, while Dark Souls Remastered for the Switch will debut this summer.
