Mega Man 11 finally has a release date. The side-scrolling action game will launch later this year during the fourth quarter, specifically on October 2nd. Capcom also released a new trailer for Mega Man 11, showing gameplay and more.
Capcom will ship Mega Man 11 across PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this October. More information on this game is due this summer, but if you don’t want to wait a month or so to read something new, you can check out the latest pre-order/gameplay video right here:
Secondly, the official text overview explaining all things Mega Man 11 and Capcom’s approach to a new 2D blue bomber title sits below:
“Mega Man is back! The newest entry in this iconic series blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh new visual style. The new Double Gear system boosts Mega Man’s speed and power for a new twist to the satisfying gameplay the series is known for. Coming to PlayStation 4 on October 2, 2018. Pre-order now!”
If you don’t know, Mega Man 11 blends 2D concepts with a “fresh new visual style” to create a 2.5D game. As of now, I’m not sure how much this 2.5D visual style will affect gameplay or if it will have any impact on the game at all, but we’ll soon find out leading up to launch.
Anyway, according to Capcom, Mega Man 11 is said to be a “freshly redesigned Mega Man” that sees the iconic blue bomber taking “on Dr. Wily’s berserk machines, defeating Robot Master bosses and taking their weapons,” in an ever-evolving fight with “new and unique enemy” designs.
Finally, if you want to get your hands on this very game, you’ll be able to either by waiting for October 2nd to roll around or by pre-ordering it. Mega Man 11, as noted above, will drop for PC, home consoles, and Nintendo Switch this year.
