N++ Ultimate Edition Heads To Nintendo Switch May 24th

Metanet Software’s N++ was never really my cup of tea, but for gamers who enjoy hard-as-nails platforming and challenge based reflexes that require clutch skills and unparalleled amounts of hand-eye coordination will likely relish in the fact that N++ Ultimate Edition will be available for the Nintendo Switch starting May 24th.

The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that highlights how the micro-themed levels will likely fit perfectly well into the busy lifestyle of Nintendo Switch owners who find themselves gaming on the go or during busy commutes to and from work and school.

The trailer does not highlight the inclusion of local co-op play for Switch owners, but the fast-paced gameplay mechanics coupled with aesthetically minimalist level designs are highlighted in the chillstep-laden promo trailer.

The Nintendo Switch version of N++ will come packed with more than 100 levels to complete, along with unlockable color schemes and six hours worth of electro-step tunes ranging from indie labels to big names recognized the world around, covering the ever-widening expanse of different sub-genres within the electronic music sector.

The press release also notes that multiplayer in N++ Ultimate Edition consists of both co-op and competitive race modes, and you can do so using just one set of Joy-Con controllers.

On the single-player side of things there is a solo and hardcore campaign mode, and you can also create and share your levels using the built-in level editor.

Personally, I can’t really see the appeal of a game like this given that it reminds me of old games like Diamond Dash, but I imagine this is the kind of game that might appeal to people who find relaxation through challenge and a hefty helping of EDM, trap, chillstep, and DNB tunes.

You can look for N++ Ultimate Edition to arrive on the Nintendo Switch starting May 24th via the Nintendo eShop for $14.99.
