Objects In Space Mixes 2D Point-And-Click Themes With Space Exploration

Objects in Space by 505 Games and Flat Earth Games aims to mix 2D point-and-click themes with space exploration. The upcoming indie game due out for PC this June focuses on ship customization, becoming a trader, bounty hunter, explorer or scavenger out in deep space.

Looking for a hybrid yet mechanically familiar game to play this June? Well, Objects in Space will debut for PC via Steam Early Access within said time frame, and the devs have a new video trailer out for you to look over.

The video trailer of Objects in Space is accompanied by its official description, in which the two sit right here for you to look over.

“Objects in Space is a retro space game centred on 2D point-and-click stealth action in a massive open world. Players have their own customisable ships and can meet people, become a trader, bounty hunter, explorer, scavenger or all of them at once.”

According to Flat Earth Games, Objects in Space focuses on a myriad of short stories rather than one main storyline with a hero’s journey, in other words, it’s up to you how much or how little narrative you want in your playthrough.

If you want to see actual gameplay, a new video covers how the ship’s bridge and systems work, how to identify other ships from your navigation map and sensor array, and how the open world itself operates.

The dev playthrough video comes in from Flat Earth Games’ YouTube channel.

If everything showcased in the two videos above looks like a lot of fun, Flat Earth Games will release a limited beta later this month. No specific details on the date and time have been provided, but I’m sure more information on the beta will come forth in the next two weeks.
