Yoshimitsu Will Be A Playable Character In Soul Calibur VI

The whimsical machine ninja that likes to surf the Internet has turned up as a playable character in Soul Calibur VI. Yoshimitsu comes equipped with his familiar Manji Sword and Fu Ma Blade and fights using the style of Manji Ninjitsu. Bandai Namco is set to release Soul Calibur VI sometime this year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Bandai Namco has released the official Yoshimitsu trailer via PlayStation Europe’s YouTube channel a bit early. However, folks like Chaos Productions Inc. managed to capture the video trailer after it was taken down and immortalized it on YouTube for your viewing pleasure.

Yoshimitsu has a lot of trickery in his moves, some of which are convoluted and some of which that aren’t all that convoluted but take advantage of a lot of the stage’s real estate in a strange way. I’m sure players who master Yoshimitsu can be a real pain to fight, but I’m sure that goes the same way with other characters, although time will tell with that.

In addition to the above, Yoshimitsu’s fighting style, Manji Ninjitsu, offers players the ability to spin and play a lot of movement tricks on opponents, as seen above in his reveal trailer. As for the recipient, this fighting style opts for a technical yet annoying wall to overcome, so it’ll be interesting to see other players against a well-seasoned Yoshimitsu main.

Nevertheless, we know that Soul Calibur VI holds a new story based on the original Soul Calibur I and brings several familiar characters with an evolved combat system. Additionally, the story of Soul Calibur VI takes place around protagonist Kilik, the new character Grøh and other new fighters. The above-mentioned was explained by producer Motohiro Okubo and comes from an interview with publication site guiltybit.com.

You can look for Soul Calibur VI to drop sometime this year for PC and home consoles.
