Beyond Good And Evil 2 Beta Set To Release Sometime In Late 2019

It’s no surprise that Ubisoft is working on Beyond Good and Evil 2, and while we keep seeing snippets of gameplay and different cinematic videos, it looks like an actual playable build of the game has a release window, which will be through a beta.

Whatever your thoughts may be on Ubisoft or Beyond Good and Evil 2, it looks like we’ll finally get a playable build to help test and flesh out the game through a beta. This beta is slated to drop sometime in late 2019, which can be seen below.

As depicted above, it appears Ubisoft plans to launch a playable beta of Beyond Good and Evil 2 at the end of 2019 according to (game director) Michel Ancel. Additionally, Ancel said on his Instagram account that “we aim for a playable beta for the end of next year” when a fan asked about the game’s release date.

At this point and time, it’s unclear whether or not Ubisoft will supplement fans with something during that long wait time to see the game, or even play it, but since we’re a year out we’ll never know until time or the developers tell.

Furthermore, a lot of people have been speculating that Beyond Good and Evil 2’s release date may not be a thing until late 2019 or sometime in 2020 due to the beta’s release window. Although there’s no confirmation behind those two launch dates, but with the beta set to go live for late 2019 it could create a delay similar to Kingdom Hearts 3 to polish the game up if anything ill surfaces from the beta. But again, time will tell with that.

Lastly, Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, is confident that the prequel will appeal to both longtime fans and those who are new to the franchise, which can be traced back to a May update regarding Beyond Good and Evil 2.
