E3 2018: Jump Force Sees Dragon Ball Z Vs Naruto Vs One Piece

One of the most overlooked games during the Microsoft E3 press conference for the Xbox brand was a game that should be talked about more but isn’t: Jump Force. The Bandai Namco made title crosses the Shonen Jump series involving Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and One Piece.

It’s completely unlike any other game out there from Bandai Namco as far as art-style is concerned, using a more realized depiction of the Shonen characters in an almost realistic setting. But it’s not just the three major brands crossing over and doing battle, other popular manga characters will be making the leap into the battle as well, such as Light from Death Note.

The debut trailer for the game clocked in at just under two minutes, and it features Frieza doing battle against Goku, Luffy, and Naruto.

Spike Chunsoft is handling the development and the game is running on the Unreal Engine 4. I imagine this will be popular with anyone who has wondered if Yamcha would be able to defeat any of the ninjas from Naruto, or if Zoro would be able to hang with Hatake.

I’m sure there are dozens of other match-ups that gamers would love to see, but for now the only thing we know is that the fighting game is set to arrive at some point in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Details on the game are thin but maybe we’ll get to see more about Jump Force when Bandai Namco makes their presence known at this year’s upcoming Tokyo Game Show in September. There’s also a good chance we could also see it in action at GamesCom in Cologne, Germany.

In the meantime you’ll just have to sit back and wait more details to drop for the upcoming crossover fighting game for home consoles and PC.
