Contemplating whether or not you want to jump into the jungles of Vietnam? Well, Ubisoft has given various publication sites and YouTubers a glimpse of Far Cry 5′s first DLC “Hours of Darkness” ahead of its June 5th debut, which you can check out first-hand in a nearly 20-minute long video.
If you’re wondering if it’s worth assuming the role of Hope County’s Wendell “Red” Redler, who must rescue his imprisoned squadmates in the deadly jungle of Vietnam, you can help better shape your thoughts and decisions if Hours of Darkness is worth your time thanks to a new gameplay video.
According to YouTuber TommyT999‘s new video, you can see the beginning scene of Hours of Darkness, the act of stealth, and different weapons in the humid setting of Vietnam. The only thing that is not shown is the other modes attached to the DLC.

After beating Hours of Darkness, you will be able to unlock two modes: Survivor Mode, and Action Movie Mode. the former mode (Survivor Mode) strips down your weaponry and beefs up the difficulty to provide a hardcore experience. The latter mode (Action Movie Mode) offers additional weapons slots and enhances the airstrike ability.
Furthermore, if you don’t have the DLC installed, Hours of Darkness, you will still have access to all Vietnam-themed assets in Far Cry Arcade starting on May 24th.
Lastly, if you want to explore the sounds of Hours of Darkness before it launches on June 5th, you can pick up the soundtrack right now. Additionally, the OST is composed by Wade MacNeil and Andrew Gordon Macpherson, with help from Kim Uyen Le.
