New World Interactive’s latest live stream touches on a list of Insurgency: Sandstorm info spanning from the PC release and console release date, to the pricing, game modes, and much more. Insurgency: Sandstorm, running on the Unreal Engine 4, is an upcoming FPS game that will debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Firstly, Focus Home Interactive and New World Interactive plan on shipping Insurgency: Sandstorm to PC via Steam for $29.99. However, if you pre-order the game you will get a 10% off discount, and if you already own Insurgency, there will be an additional 10% off “loyalty discount,” which tallies up to a 20% off discount.
According to the host of NWI live stream, Alex, we learn that the PC version will release September of 2018, while the console version (PS4 and Xbox One) will launch during the first half of 2019.
The PC release set for this year’s September will feature the following game modes: Push, Firefight, and Capture the Base for Versus, as well as Checkpoint for co-op. Operation (an experimental mode) and Outpost (a legacy mode of Insurgency) are under inspection and will release as post-launch content.
As for weapons and attachments, around 40 weapons will be in the game. Some of the weapons will be familiar ones, while others are new to the series. Additionally, you can use over 40 attachments, which more weapons and attachments will be added post-launch.
Furthermore, Insurgency: Sandstorm will not feature loot-boxes or item trading. It’s unclear if publisher Focus Home Interactive or developer New World will add microtransactions post-launch like Battlefield 1 or Ghost Recon: Wildlands? Sadly, only time will tell what will go down service wise.
